Job Title: Cellar & Quality Manager

    Position Category: Full Time

    Overview of Position

We are in the process of building a brewery in Waltham, MA. In September we finished the completion of our new brewery and commissioned our 30-bbl and 5-bbl brewhouses. We are looking for an experienced Cellar & Quality Manager to join our team and help manage the cellaring, yeast, and quality management operations. We are looking for someone with extensive cellaring experience, a strong mechanical background, a thorough understanding of brewing and cellaring process, and experience managing people. The candidate will ideally be able to join our team in December.

The Cellar & Quality Manager (CQM) will be responsible for managing all aspects of the brewery's cellaring, yeast, and QA/QC operations — including but not limited to kegging, canning, barrel aging, yeast husbandry, laboratory operations and all associated beer QA/QC standards. The CPM will be responsible of hiring, managing, and growing the cellaring, yeast, and quality team as needed.

The ideal candidate must have applicable brewery experience and a passion for the brewing industry. He or she will have a strong technical background in cellaring & yeast management, laboratory operations, QA/QC standards and chemical usage. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving problems and creating value for the company and its customers. This person will provide leadership and training both internally and externally, and represent the company within the industry.

The CQM's primary responsibility will be to lead the brewery's cellaring & yeast management operations. This is a hands-on position requiring you to personally participate in all cellaring operations.
