Watermans Brewing located in Wilmington, NC just a mere 2 minutes from Wrightsville Beach North Carolina is looking for a Head Brewer for our Pub. We are a full service restaurant with a 15barrel Brewhouse. We have been open since July 2017. Position has a immediate open for the right candidate! Requirements:
• 3+ years of Professional Brewing Experience
• Desire to constantly improve product and processes
• All aspects of wort production on a 15 BBL brewhouse
• Monitor and record all necessary info in the brewing process
• Have the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Execute the production schedule
• Professional beer design and recipe formulation
• Be available for special events and brewery activities
• Live in or be willing to relocate to Wilmington, NC
• Capable of speaking in front of a small group of people
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining our core brands plus seasonal release on the 15 barrel system
• Innovate new recipes to be featured in the tasting room
• Manage brewhouse and raw ingredients
• Produce beer for the on premise tap room and distribution
• Maintain a clean, safe and well organized facility
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Comply with all safety and health codes
• Attend management meetings addressing brewery issues and production forecast
• Fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery mechanics/maintenance
• Train & test front of house staff in beer knowledge at daily meetings.
• Yeast management
• Keg washing/filling
