Building 8 Brewing in vibrant Northampton, MA is looking to hire a part-time Assistant Brewer. This is a part-time position to start (20-30 hours per week) with the opportunity to become full time as we grow. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door brewing!
Primary duties include:
-Assist Head Brewer on brew days mashing in, weighing hops, graining out, cleaning
-Help set up, run, and CIP canning line
-Dry hopping
-Cleaning floors, cleaning tanks, cleaning everything!
Other duties may include but are not limited to:
-Represent the brewery at festivals and events
-Assist with loading up for distribution and making occasional deliveries
-Assist in the tasting room and warehouse as needed
The ideal candidate will have some experience working in a commercial brewery and/or brewing education. You will have a passion for craft beer, a very strong attention to detail, and great work ethic. More than anything, we're looking for a culture fit - we're a small crew that spends a lot of time together! This is a position with the potential to learn all aspects of beer making and packaging.
Applicants must be able to work in hot, cold, and wet environments, lift 55+ lbs repeatedly, work on your feet for long periods of time, and be willing to get dirty and work hard in pursuit of great beer!
