    Position Description

    We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Beer Ambassador in Outside Sales. This position is responsible for managing our outside accounts and distributors within a specific territory of Missouri and Arkansas. This position routinely visits with current and potential distributors and retail accounts and builds positive relationships to increase sales. Some assistance with special promotional events is also required.

    Additional duties include but are not limited to:
    • Understand and embrace the Springfield Brewing Company brands and deliver our mission and story.
    • Become an expert on assigned territory.
    • Be the brewery’s primary point of contact for all retail accounts and distribution outlets.
    • Increase package distribution in both on and off premise accounts.
    • Increase draft presence in on premise accounts.
    • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the buyers/owners of influential accounts.
    • Work with SBC Ownership to develop a program that regularly offers our specialty draft directly to influential accounts.
    • Ensure both on/off premise accounts have adequate POS and SBC is properly represented.
    • Assist in account and distributor craft beer education and training programs.
    • Build partnerships with all distributors emphasizing SBC’s brand and product value.
    • Work with distributor representatives to build brand awareness and to fully develop best sales and marketing practices.
    • Present success presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
    • Work Events/Festivals/Beer Releases
    • Know and understand the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) laws pertaining to both the supplier and wholesaler in each specific area/state.
    • Analyze and compile data from sales by product and recommend and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
    • Participate in regular sales meetings to help create sales forecasts and goals. Track execution and results.
    • Know and understand sales goals for all distribution outlets.
    • Maintain a comprehensive log on all account visits, monthly expenses and other reports as required.
    • Monitor and evaluate distributor’s inventory. Report inventory issues to SBC Ownership and work with distributor to correct improper inventory levels.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



    Position Skills and Requirements


    High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must be 21 years of age. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently and have some malt beverage experience, preferably with at least one year at a beer or wine distributor or brewery. Outside commission sales experience is helpful. Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds and maneuver up to 165 pounds. Candidate must be able to pass a motor vehicle background check, have proof of insurance and have full-time access to a working motor vehicle as extensive travel is required.
