Nod Hill Brewery opened in Ridgefield, CT in the fall of 2017. Over the past year we have seen a very warm reception to our beer, our brand, and our taproom experience - all of this leading to a decision to expand our brewery and our distribution. We are looking to add a member to our team at this time that can help us grow in a strategic way consistent with our brand and our mission.
Job Profile
We're seeking a professional with experience in and a passion for the craft beer industry. We are a young and growing company and this position will require wearing several hats. A typical week will include outside sales, deliveries, packaging, taproom assistance, and representing our brewery at events.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hardworking, energetic, ambitious, and honest. They must have a deep knowledge and passion for beer, and be able to speak confidently about our product. They must believe in and represent our brand, and possess strong selling skills and strategies in order to expand our presence within Fairfield, New Haven, and Litchfield counties. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and communicative, as they will be working closely with our brewing and management team.
Responsibilities:
-Building and maintaining relationships with on- and off-premise accounts.
-Writing weekly summaries, communicating progress, and passing along feedback about the brand to the rest of our team.
-Delivering kegs and cans to all wholesale accounts
-Planning, organizing, and attending tastings, festivals, and beer dinners focused on fostering partnerships and increasing brand awareness.
-Working closely with our NY distributor to develop brand awareness - occasionally attending events in Westchester & NYC.
-Help with packaging and light cellaring work in the brewhouse
-Serving in our taproom
Job Requirements
-Minimum 2 years experience in craft beer industry, ideally in sales
-Friendly and outgoing personality
-College degree
-Valid Drivers license
-Ability to repeatedly lift 150lb
-Regular weekend and evening availability
Compensation commensurate with experience.

We founded Nod Hill Brewery in northern Fairfield County, CT in 2017, with the intention of crafting expressive, well-rounded, and unique beers that encourage a spirit of thoughtful enjoyment. Since opening, we have focused primarily on modern hop-forward pale beers and interpretations of classic Belgian styles. A large part of our growth in 2019 will see us branching into mixed fermentation ales and barrel-aging.
Head brewer Kyle Acenowr's approach is meticulous and based in tradition, with creative flourishes that always keep balance and drinkability at the fore. Founding partners & father-son team Dave & Rob Kaye formulated a vision of one day opening a brewery back in 2008, and many inspirations and experiences ended up informing it along the way. From keeping and serving cask ale in London, to spending nights drinking monk-brewed Märzen beer in Salzburg, to batch after batch of experimental homebrews, Dave & Rob were inspired to one day create a venue that reflected their love of beer and the magical experiences they had enjoying it at those many special places. We are proud to say Nod Hill is truly a family venture, with day-to-day operations being run by Dave and his wife Sarah.
