  • Trubble with Hops :-) What to do?

Midsummer Brewing is going to be "off grid" WRT sewer.
We are going to be dumping waste water into a holding tank which will later be pumped out by a septic disposal service.
My concern is hop and trub matter.
Is there anyone else here that is in a similar situation that can recommend disposal of hop and trub waste?
We are giving the grain to the local cows.
Can we give them the hops?
I know its not on a dogs diet.

Yes most definitely cows can have hops. Any ruminant animal can and in fact hops help reduce the hyper-ammonia-producing bacteria(HAB) which is a large benefit.
I say this as a farm based brewery owner with a heard of Highland cattle.
    Cheers

      compost

Compost! Kettle trub, spent hops and yeast can all be added to compost. Yeast is better if killed first.
