    DESCRIPTION
    Twisted Pine Brewing Company in Boulder, CO is looking for a cellarperson to join the brewing team full time. We are a brew pub in the heart of Boulder that sports a 15 bbl brewhouse and a 3 bbl pilot brewery. The right candidate will have excellent mechanical aptitude, a drive to learn, and a strong work ethic. We can teach you how to brew, but we cannot teach you how to hustle. The cellarperson will participate in all aspects of cold side from knockout to packaging the final product, as well as some hot side work assisting the Head Brewer. You will be part of a small team that also includes kitchen, bar staff, events and marketing, and may be called on to help outside of the brewery. With 30 draft lines in our ale house, you will also have an opportunity to contribute to creating and refining recipes for our constantly shifting beer lineup.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Cellaring duties such as beer transfers, dry-hopping, carbonating, and CIP of fermenters and brite tanks.
    • Packaging duties including bottling, draft line maintenance, and keg cleaning/filling.
    • Assist the Head Brewer with wort production when necessary.
    • Daily gravity checks.
    • Complete necessary paperwork for all activities.
    • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
    • Basic light mechanical repairs to brewing equipment when necessary.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • At least 1 year of experience in a professional brewing setting is highly preferred.
    • Work effectively with the head brewer to meet production needs.
    • Operate forklift and other heavy machinery.
    • Multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
    • Communicate well, both written and verbal.
    • Troubleshoot and solve equipment problems.
    • Work in a team environment.
    • Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
    • Maintain professionalism in a high-stress environment.
    • High school diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). College degree preferred.
    • Must possess basic computer and math skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
    • Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day).
    • Able to lift materials up to 55 lbs. repeatedly.
    • Able to work in wet, tight or cramped spaces.
    • Able to work in an environment with high noise levels.
    • Able to work with hazardous chemicals.
    • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (boots, gloves, apron, eye protection, etc.)
    • Exposure to hot fluids.
    • Exposure to pressurized vessels and transfer lines.
    • Exposure to particulate atmospheres.
    • Exposure to variable temperature levels.
    • Wet, slippery floors.
    • Wet clothing.
    • Exposure to carbon dioxide.
    • Performing job with and around moving machinery.
