Position: Brewer 1
Lost Rhino Brewing Co
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Operation of 4 vessel 25bbl Brewhouse
-Fermentation monitoring
- Perform FV and BBT CIP’s, while maintaining our quality focused SOP’s
-Yeast pitching/health management
-Manual cleaning
-Basic brewery equipment maintenance
-Facilities maintenance
-Raw material and finished product handling; Forklift operation
-Monitor gravities, temperatures, off flavors and carbonations daily-
-Knowledge of canning process on Wild Goose
-Potential of working at other location on 1bbl experimental brewery
-Be responsible for ensuring that security safety procedures are adhered to per SOP’s
-Communicate regularly and efficiently with Staff
-Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude
-Assist other departments when necessary
Our ideal candidate:
-Must be 21 years of age
-1 to 2 Years Commercial Brewing experience
-Must have a passion for beer and the work it takes to make it
-Must Have attention to detail and be Quality-minded
-Will have a high level verbal and written communication capacity
-Will be a team player who works with others to achieve a common goal
-Flexibility in schedule to work days, nights and weekends as needed
Physical Requirement/Working Conditions:
-Standing up to 10 hours per shift
-Stooping, bending, crouching, reaching, Squatting, Dodge, Dip, Dive, Duck, Dodge
-Manual manipulation of small parts and all equipment necessary to the job
-Lifting up to 55 pounds to shoulder height repetitively
-Able to lift 140 lbs to the waist
-Working in often hot/wet/cold/humid conditions
-Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout shift
