    PACKAGING LEAD AND WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

    Lamplighter Brewing Co. is a production brewery and taproom located in the heart of Cambridge, MA. We are looking for a Packaging Lead and Warehouse Assistant to add to our growing team. This leadership position will head our packaging team on our new ACS-V5 Cask canning line, and will also be responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks including beer inventories, cold box organization and stocking, trips to our off-site warehouse, and distribution coordination.

    General Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all bottling and canning operations (2-3 days per week).
    • Assist with warehouse and cellar operations as necessary (2-3 days per week).
    • Maintain inventory of packaging supplies.
    • Ensure all beer is in the proper condition (temperature, carbonation level, etc.) prior to packaging.
    • Develop and maintain SOPs for packaging operations, including safety, CIP, and general operations.
    • Oversee proper training of all members of the packaging department.
    • Maintain proper packaging records and logs.
    • Ensure regular maintenance of packaging equipment.
    • Address mechanical issues that occur with machine.
    • Work closely with cellar and brewing departments to ensure smooth product flow and the timely completion of the production schedule.
    • Assist whenever and wherever necessary on the production and warehouse floor.

    Requirements:
    • At least one year of experience in a production/packaging brewery.
    • Experience running a Cask canning line.
    • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Passion for beer and brewing.

    Successful candidates will also possess:
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Formal brewing education or degree in relevant science/mechanical field
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Self-motivation with a keen attention to detail
    • Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities.
    • Ability to communicate efficiently with team.
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

    Must be able to:
    • Lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally.
    • Operate an electric forklift.
    • Operate a sprinter van and/or box truck.
    • Work in a non-temperature controlled environment.

    Compensation is based on experience. Benefits include health and dental, PTO, and lots of beer. Ideal schedule is Sunday through Thursday, though this is flexible based on the proper candidate. Ideal start date in late January.
