Wrightsville Beach Brewery has an opening for a Cellarperson
This is an hourly position with an estimated 24-35 hours per week depending on the production schedule. Must have availability Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm. Opportunity for growth exists. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
Qualified applicants will have:
-Comprehensive knowledge of the fermentation process and sanitary procedures
-Passion for the art and science of brewing, willingness to learn and grow with the position and company
-Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task
-Knowledge of chemical safety and best practices working with materials under pressure
-Strong attention to detail and be dependable
-The ability to follow and understand strict SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
-Ability to take direction and work independently
-Fun, positive attitude and teamwork mentality
-Experienced palate and sensory evaluation skills (certified beer servers and cicerones encouraged to apply)
-The ability to lift up to 70 lbs overhead multiple times throughout the work shift and maneuver up to 165 lbs.
-Mechanical aptitude and practical problem solving skills
-Working on feet all day on concrete floor. Sometimes wet, cold, hot and noisy areas, working with strong chemicals, pressure vessels, and machinery.
Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:
-Work on the canning line
-Accurate record keeping of daily work
-Keg washing/filling
-Fermenter and Brite tank CIP
-General cleaning and maintenance of all tanks and equipment
-Tank transfers and dry hopping
-Barrel filling, transfers, cleaning, and maintenance
-Milling in grain
-Yeast handling including harvesting and dropping while following sanitary procedure
-QA/QC work, carbonating beer
-Assist brewer in brewing operations as needed
-Draft line cleaning and maintenance
-Other brewery related tasks and maintenance as needed
