Altstadt Brewery, in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, is looking for someone to run the cellaring and bottle line.
We are both a rapidly growing production brewery and brew pub that specializes in German beer.
Overview: Reports to the Head Brewer. Responsible for all aspects of the cold side, from aging to packaging on our 30 head bottle filler, and incoming canning line. (with some occasional help brewing)
Responsibilities include:
-Fermenter and Brite tank CIPs
-Beer Transfers
-Operating Centrifuge (our main method of filtering)
-Checking and adjusting CO2 and DO in brite beer
-Daily Temperature and Gravity checks
-Record keeping
-Maintain clean and organized work area
-Follow safety guidelines
-Muliti-tasking
-Some assistance brewing, when needed
-Operate Bottle filler and can line
-Work with minimal supervision
-Be cross-trained on keg filling
-Being at work at the scheduled time
Physical Requirements:
-ability to frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch
-work in wet, hot, cold conditions (however, the entire facility is climate controlled!)
-work in loud environments
-able to work safely with hazardous chemicals
-able to move/life 55lbs
This is a daytime shift (typically 8-5), but there will be occasional forced overtime and weekend work. Most weekend shifts will be short and scheduled ahead of time.
Two years in the brewing industry, either in packaging or cellaring, is strongly preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
This is an hourly position, with health, dental and vision. Pay is based on experience.
