Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co is recruiting a self-motivated ambitious sales associate and event facilitator. This representative will be one of the faces of the brand and requires an individual who is self-motivated, hard working, and works well on teams. Additionally, this position must be well-educated with beer styles and overall beer culture.
The position will be based out of the brewery location in Gaithersburg, Maryland. As a key team member, sales responsibilities include reaching out to acquiring and maintaining retail accounts, coordinating deliveries, and making deliveries. Event responsibilities include finding event and tasting opportunities and representing our brewery at these functions. Additionally, this position includes helping to can our beer and occasionally working in the tasting room.

Responsibilities
Sales
Achieve specified account and sales goals
Develop new accounts and maintain relationships with current accounts
Communicate with accounts regarding pricing, inventory events, and brand awareness
Foster working relationships with key decision makers in the marketplace
Communicate and educate staff at accounts
Communicate progress weekly and compile progress reports
Events
Compile and update beer events and festivals
Schedule and coordinate events and festivals
Schedule and perform tastings and other events with retail accounts
Other
Help can beers on canning days
Help with can releases
Occasionally work in tasting room
Requirements
21 years of age or older
Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the business, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
Traveling days: candidate expected to spend up to 70% of time in field or in meetings with partners, customer, or vendors
Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of large groups of people
Solid organizational skills and ability to work independently
Ability to lift/move beer kegs and cased beer up to 165 lbs
Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
Highly motivated, ambitious, and sociable personality
Must be committed and proactive about customer service and community relations, detail-oriented, a clear communicator, and a team player
