    The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operation of production and distribution warehouse facilities to ensure metrics are maintained or exceeded to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position will collaborate with Head Brewer, General Manager, Brewery Operations Manager, Brand Director, Master Planner and Sales team to ensure our product meets market demand and scheduling timetables.

    Responsibilities

    Logistics
    • Communicate with distribution customers to ensure they receive all orders accurately and timely
    • Liaison between sales and distributors to ensure distributors maintain proper stock of finished goods
    • Provides troubleshooting and customer support to wholesalers
    • Coordinates distribution center operations to meet monthly sales goals
    • Manages product rotation
    • Coordinates warehouse transfers to ensure there is sufficient product to complete monthly programs
    • Collaborates daily with Transportation and Purchasing teams to ensure proper assignment of purchase orders
    • Schedule dock appointments for Inbound/Outbound/Interplant shipments at breweries. Track performance against appointments and report results
    • Procure freight and other services for the company, securing best available rates while staying within shipment requirements
    • Demonstrate smart ordering practices, demonstrating fiscal responsibility with considerations such as freight and quantity discounts
    • Responsible for receiving shipments, including product and equipment returns, raw ingredient and packaging shipments, and any other large shipments



    Warehouse
    • Manage all warehouse activities ensuring operational goals are achieved by determined deadlines.
    • Effectively manage warehouse employees, focusing on retention and skill development.
    • Process orders accurately and in a timely manner according to SOPs and customer requirements.



    Planning
    • Collaborate on master production scheduling and planning to ensure production, packaging and shipments meet business requirements
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel to generate and maintain master production plans to ensure long-term production schedules in ERP match sales projections.
    • Work closely with production teams to assist in development of weekly production schedules that balance production line capacity, productivity, and on-time delivery metrics.
    • Collaborate with Procurement on long term production plans, taking into consideration supplier capabilities and constraints.
    • Track, develop, and implement the appropriate finished goods safety stock strategy to optimize service levels and inventory investment.



    Inventory
    • Establish operational procedures for all warehouse activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
    • Manage site inventory control processes; ensuring compliance with internal SOPs and best practices
    • Work with production team to ensure proper warehouse organization, including picking and building orders, organizing the cold box to accommodate packaging operations, receiving and storing raw materials, etc.


    Communication
    • Interface with Purchasing, Production, Sales, Marketing, and Quality to capacity plan around maintenance, promos, new product introductions, and inform of other potential schedule interruptions.
    • Work with sales team to ensure all wholesaler orders are placed in a timely manner and provide updates relating to aging beer in warehouse to avoid expired and obsolete items



    Maintenance
    • Supervise material handling equipment for forklifts, shrink wrappers, scale, loading docks, HVAC, restaurant equipment, and any additional equipment
    • Oversee and direct all building preventative maintenance for bottling line, kitchen and brewery equipment



    Other
    • Enter sales orders into ERP system pursuant to master production schedule.
    • Facilitate and/or conduct all required employee training; including forklift and safety certification programs.
    • Promote a “Zero Harm” work environment through adherence to OSHA, DOT HAZMAT and HACCP regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
    • Serve as point person for projects relating to warehouse modification (warehouse upgrades, constructions, remodeling, etc.)
    • Completion of special projects as assigned by management.
    • Facilitate and/or conduct site tours for management, employees and customers.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities



    Physical Requirements/Work Environment
    • Works outdoors/indoors
    • Works in warm/cold climates
    • Works in high places
    • Works on wet surfaces
    • Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals
    • Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic
    • Must be able to move up to 55 lbs
    • Primary office environment may be warehouse/distribution setting
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Safety goggles, Steel-toed safety boots, Ear Protection and Safety Belts when working in Production area



    Minimum Qualifications
    • Minimum of two years managerial experience required
    • Direct warehouse management experience, including demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and mentor employees.
    • Knowledge of and experience ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT HAZMAT and HACCP regulations.
    • Experience utilizing cycle count methodologies and performing full physical inventory counts.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage production and distribution warehouse facilities.
    • Material Handling experience.
    • Proven ability to operate within budget guidelines.
    • Experience facilitating effective employee training.
    • Capacity to embrace and lead change in a constantly fluctuating business environment is essential.
    • Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment, plus ability to exercise solid judgement and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines.
    • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate both verbal & written
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Must be forklift certified and able to operate forklift and other equipment as needed.



    Preferred Qualifications
    • Four year college degree preferred.
    • Warehouse Management System and/or Inventory Control software experience is preferred.
    • Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is preferred.
    • Brewery production line experience
    • Ability to comfortably lift and carry up to 55/lbs.
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work off hours, split, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required
    • Critical and analytical thinking skills and the ability to make high-level decisions based on available facts, brewing knowledge, and experience
    • Knowledge of brewing industry standards and trends
