Big Axe Brewing in Nisswa, MN is looking for a manager experienced with operating a Brewpub or a brewery with restaurant. The Brewery Manager is accountable to ownership and is the main figure responsible for training, scheduling and utilizing staff for operation of the brewery and restaurant to meet the goals set by ownership. This is a very dynamic role and requires someone who is organized, disciplined and detail oriented with a passion for doing things right.
Primary responsibilities include:
--Manage, plan and coordinate Brewing and production operation with Brewers and sales staff from grain to glass. Manage beer supply, quality and inventory.
--Brew or help in brewing when needed
--Help with SOP training, adherence and documentation
--Ensures a safe and clean brewery environment
--hires and trains staff on company procedures and policies
--work with kitchen manager and restaurant/taproom staff as needed to ensure great food and beer experience
--help in taproom or restaurant as needed
--helps with sales, marketing (on and off premises), delivery coordination and efforts as needed to ensure wholesale accounts are serviced and sales tracked
--works and communicates with staff and ownership frequently
--works to calculate labor and operational costs, including ingredients and food costs
--ensures facility remains in compliance with state and local regulatory authorities
--ensures customers have a safe, fun and enjoyable experience
