    Stonecloud Brewing Company in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced brewer/cellarman to join our small but growing team. Stonecloud opened its doors in 2017 and was named one of Beer Advocates 50 best new breweries of the past year. We create an amazing array of experimental and historic beers styles, ranging from off-the-wall barrel aged creations to extremely traditional lagers. Our brewery is located in a fully restored 90 year old historic brick warehouse near downtown that originally housed an industrial laundry facility. We operate a 30 bbl brewhouse which supplies our tasting room and accounts around Oklahoma.

    Quality and consistency are the two driving forces behind everything we create, and above all else the candidate will need to embrace these values. Duties will primarily fall under the brewing and cellaring realms. We are still a small brewery however and flexibility is absolutely key. The candidate will be expected to fill in on packaging lines occasionally and help wherever needed. We all do just about everything around here, and the candidate should embrace that aspect of the job.

    Job Duties
    -Beer production from raw grain through the packaged product. Daily duties will include (but not limited to) grinding malt, wort production, brewhouse cip, tank cip, general cleaning, beer filtration, daily QC checks, taking lab samples, beer carbonation, dry hopping, manage and pitch yeast. Did I mention cleaning?
    -Operate a forklift in a tight work area
    -Unload and load trucks with forklift occasionally
    -Keep strict inventory of raw materials and finished beer
    -Religiously update brewing software with inventories, tasks, etc.
    -Assist with barrel program including filling, emptying, maintenance, etc.
    -Keep an extremely clean work environment
    -Consistently lift up to 55 pounds and roll up to 165 pounds
    -Create a safe work environment for yourself and others
    -Make mechanical repairs to machines when necessary
    -Occasional weekend and/or evening work (including overtime)

    Requirements
    -at least one year brewing experience in a production brewery OR two years cellar experience in a production brewery (both is better)
    -Love of all things craft beer
    -Must be 21 years of age
    -Possess mechanical aptitude to fix and maintain machines
    -Excellent problem solving skills
    -Extreme promptness and reliability
    -Pass background check and obtain an Oklahoma ABLE license (essentially an OK state background check for employees in the alcohol industry)
    -Stand and/or sit for long periods of time and walk; use fingers, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, twist, bend and crouch; work in a hot/cold and wet environment for extended periods of time

    Recommendations
    -Brewing degree from an accredited university or similar
    -College degree in chemistry or microbiology
    -Barrel program experience
    -Brewery packaging experience
    -Lab experience
    -Welding experience
    -Forklift experience
    -Excellent taste in music


    This is a full time salaried position. All production staff at Stonecloud currently work four 10 hour shifts with 3 days off per week. Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed at the time of the interview. We offer a very liberal free beer policy as well as two weeks paid vacation.
