Caboose Brewing Company is growing! We have 2 locations in Northern Virginia; Caboose Tavern, a farm-to-fork brewpub in Vienna, and Caboose Commons, our new beer garden at the Mosaic District in Merrifield.

We have 2 open positions for full-time Brewers to join our team. The brewhouse is a 15bbl Premier Stainless system. In addition to serving our taprooms, Caboose beers are distributed throughout Virginia and Washington, DC. We are currently producing around 6,000 bbls per year and have started packaging.

As a Brewer you will:

• Adhere to SOP’s and safety protocols, including working safely with dangerous chemicals
• Operate the brewhouse
• CIP/SIP
• Transfer product (both inter-tank transfers and inter-location transfers)
• Dry hop
• Carbonate
• Package beer
• Perform routine maintenance on brewery equipment
• Keep detailed records of various brewery metrics
• Perform miscellaneous cellar work as needed

Job Requirements:

• 2 years of brewery experience or a strong science background
• A thorough understanding of the brewing process
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and move around 165 lbs.
• Technically savvy
• Must live in the DC area. We will not be relocating for this position.
