  • East Bay Account Manager - Bay Area | Temescal Brewing

    Temescal Brewing is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our distribution team! This person will be our third hire in a substantial self-distribution program that’s about to see major growth, and will be at the front lines of generating and maintaining our relationships with wholesale accounts in our home turf of Oakland and the near East Bay.

    Our perfect match has considerable sales experience and strong leadership skills, and is able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, ever-changing environment.

    PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Create and maintain a positive and welcoming “no jerks” environment at all times.
    • Oversee and maintain existing wholesale customer relationships, building lasting and trusting partnerships and carrying out all aspects of the sales process.
    • Identify and engage with potential account partners that match our commitment to quality.
    • Ensure account and customer satisfaction through friendly service, a proactive approach to retail partner requests, and, most importantly, consistent communication.
    • Work closely with distribution and operations teammates via Slack, excel, email, and inventory management software to effectively communicate beer availability, adhering to tight allocation and strategy constraints.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of beers and sales programs in your territory, providing management with information needed to improve our success in your territory.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
    • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation


    PREFERRED SKILLS:
    • 1-2+ years experience in beer sales or similar sales roles
    • Being able to lift, push and/or pull up to 160lbs and able to bend/squat/reach
    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
    • Strong communication skills: verbal, listening and written
    • Capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive
    • Knowledge and passion for beer and strong competitive intelligence within the industry
    • Lives in and otherwise has strong roots in Oakland


    COMPENSATION:
    • Competitive Base + commission plan, stipend, PTO, and benefits
