Trustworthy Brewing Company is seeking a Lead Brewer
Trustworthy Brewing Company is located in Burbank California
and produces a variety of Ales, Lagers, Mixed Culture and Barrel
Aged Beers. We are expanding our operation with a brewpub
at The Shoppes in The Palazzo. It will be the first brewery on the
Las Vegas Strip in more than 20 years. The onsite brewpub will
produce beer on a 10bbl Steam Jacketed System with 5-10bbl FVs
and 5-10bbl serving vessels. With an annual production of
approximately 1000 bbl/yr.
Position: Lead Brewer
Job Description: Work as an essential part of the brewery to
consistently manufacture great craft beer for our consumers. As the
Lead Brewer you will work directly under the Head Brewer whose
standards will be followed to produce great craft beer. If hired you will
fulfill a 90 day probationary period which can lead to a full time
position with a raise based on performance. During the probationary
period your work ethics and ability to work independently will be
tested. This position will be optimal for someone who wants to expand
their already existing career. This job will not be your normal 9-5
Monday-Friday job. Hours will vary, schedules can change, and some
days can be long but the work is engaging and fun. Brewing beer in a
casino on the second floor will be challenging and will need strong problem
solving skills to overcome unique situations. You will be fully
responsible for production of beer, operation of equipment and
management of ingredients. You will be supervised remotely by the
Head Brewer and be visited weekly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Being able to communicate clearly with all team members.
- Being a positive representative of the brewery at all times
- Maintain constant cleanliness and organization of work space
- Follow set standards on all day to day operations
- Maintaining proper documentation on all steps of production
- Maintain acceptable inventory of raw materials and beer
- Operate brewing equipment
- Preform CIPs of brewery equipment
- Strong Work ethic
- Ability to work independently
- Maintain Inventory
- Order ingredients and supplies
- Maintain state and federal compliance documents
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to work and communicate well with others
- Knowledge of Microsoft office programs
- Organized and detail oriented
- Ability to problem-solve and get assistance as needed
- Possess good beer knowledge, a good sense of smell, a good sense of taste and be able to distinguishing flavors and colors in beer
- 2-3 years of professional brewing experience
- Flexible schedule
- Intimate understanding of brewing processes
- Lift 55 lbs from ground to shoulder
- Lift 110 lbs from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs along the floor
- Work in confined spaces
- Work safely around heavy machinery and chemicals
