  • What are you looking for in automation controls?

What do you love/hate about your current controls?

What do you look for when shopping around?

    Are your controls easily upgradable/updatable?

Is the user interface intuitive and user friendly?

We're very interested in hearing your opinions to help us better improve our products and services.

After having been a Shop Forman at a large sized Facility with JCI Metasys installed, I can tell you we need to move back towards Simplification and that which is Practical and reliable.
All Wireless and Cell Phone application Tech, I also have zero use for. Very few people seem to " get " that humans are not suppsed to be immersed in a sea of Microwaves 24-7.
Its just about the toxicity of those waveforms on all organic life, its about how those devices seem to be destroying the ability of people to think critically. There is also the fact that said devices are triggering neurotransmitter responses that are unnatural, and creating mutations and cancers etc. due to the power density and wavelength being too close to that of the human body etc. People need to wise up to what has been done on this Techno front, and under what banner its been done. Wifi is especially bad news. We also do not need this bluetooth nonsense. Its all wave poison.
What has taken place with Automation in the general sense in many cases is truly machines running people, rather than the converse. The people that have to deal with the mess this creates are the Technicians. Often times also much of the Solid State Tech that is integrated with relay logic devices is so poorly Engineered and substandard that it is not worth having.
Now everyone seems to want HMI inerfaces on everything.
We need Cleanly designed, Robust, Elegant, and Simple Systems that are not Over Engineered or over thought reinventions of the wheel. A massive amount can be learned by visiting as many different operations as possible and taking a sober look at what really works vs. what wastes time and energy. A very large problem for Micro Brewery Operations is a lack of integrated packages for certain types of System tasks and duties that are necessary in most plant settings of this type. All of the newcomer question on the Forum will always reflect this challenge and learning curve as thus. An Example would be how to setup and implement a CLT system with all necessary components and controls from say 500 gal up to larger capacities. So we are talking all of the necessary component pieces along with the controls and a plan for installation. This of course is a tall order and can be proven out by taking a look at systems that are well assembled and thought out, and then making refinements that are then built and field tested.
It should also be easy to troubleshoot and repair when anything goes wrong, and said parts should be on hand.
