Mason Jar Lager Company has an opening for a brewery sales representative. This person's primary role is to solicit, build, and maintain professional sales relationships with our distributor, retailers and consumers within Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Specific duties include:
• Work directly with MJLC’s distributor and their sales staff in his/her territory to drive sales.
• Represent our brands throughout the Central and Eastern NC market to increase distribution.
• Make sales calls on potential accounts to establish new distribution.
• Make sales calls at existing accounts with the goal of expanding distribution and volume through hand sales and promotion.
• Defining competitors’ market share, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Build relationships between retailers and MJLC.
• Oversee special events in the market area. This includes seeking participation in the appropriate events, registration, and coordinating with the distributor and event staff.
Position Requirements:
• 1-2 Years of Sales experience in beer/wine industry (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Must live or have prior experience in the market area for which he/she is responsible.
• Ability to meet or exceed specific sales goals and grow markets according to these goals.
• Must have a clean driving record, with no prior DUIs.
• Must be able to work flexible hours/days/evenings.
• Must have good record keeping and business communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Manage a budget.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (Kegs, cases, etc. as needed).
Compensation:
• Base salary plus commission
• Benefits package after six months
• Company car
• Phone allowance
