This position operates the brewhouse for wort production.
Essential Responsibilities
- Mastery of all operator level tasks.
- Keeps up with all brewery house process changes.
- Stages malt pallets for later in the week and foresees any material shortages.
- Accurately performs inventory count.
- Accurately issues materials in OBeer from the correct batches and send out email if things are off.
- Attempts to trouble shoot small brewing and mechanical problems.
- Organizes, rotates and labels raw materials; oldest inventory is used first.
- Performs bask preventative maintenance on mill. Checks mill magnets and uses proper lock out/tag out procedures.
- Incorporates cleaning projects int daily routine, while not falling behind on other job responsibilities.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Supports the basic training of brewer operation
- Starts to see the link between brewery departments; checking future FV status, yeast and yeast brink status, brewery hours CIP schedule, adjust brew schedule in OBeer.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
