    Microbiology Technician – Day Shift
    Two Roads Brewing Company is seeking a Microbiology Technician to work on microbiological testing, methods, and analysis. Also assist with other routine daily tasks in the Quality department at the brewery. This is an entry-level plus position.
    The hours of this position would be a minimum of 8 hours within 7:00 am to 4:00 pm range. Please send resume to HR@tworoadsbrewing.com.
    Responsibilities:
    • Execute and control microbiology testing across the brewery including but not limited to:
    o Assist planning of sample collection and processing
    o Microbiological test analysis and reporting
    o Testing and advising on new testing methods and procedures
    o Lead or assist with training of microbiology associated procedures
    • Support shared QA/QC analytical laboratory duties, including but not limited to:
    o Fermentation monitoring
    o GC/MS and UV/Vis testing
    • Assist in overall department workflow.
    • Record data accurately and promptly.
    • Communicate anomalous results in a timely manner.
    • Assist in trouble-shooting activities.
    • Calibration & maintenance of analytical instruments.
    • Maintaining a clean laboratory working environment.

    Qualifications of the position include:
    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Food Science or other related fields. Candidates with biology or chemistry degrees with a related focus or experience will be considered. One year of laboratory experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred.
    • Experience following established protocols and meeting deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
    • Superior attention to detail, highly organized, and exemplary work ethic.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Proficiency with computer programs such as Excel and Word. Experience with data management systems is a plus.
    • A sense of humor.
    • A passion for craft beer.

    Requirements:
    • Periodic weekend support and overtime will be required.
    • Ability to stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to work in tight areas that might require crouching or other odd positions for short periods of time.
    • Ability to handle a wide range of temperature environments related to seasons or cleaning.
    • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
