Beer On Earth is seeking an experienced, hard-working brewer to help open our new brewery in Providence, RI. This is a full-time position, and offers the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to and share in the success of a growing brewery as we expand to a 7BBL system. This highly-motivated person will work closely with ownership/brewers to brew the highest quality beer in an effort to become one of the top breweries in New England.
Job duties include but not limited to:
Brew a variety of styles of beer on a 7BBL system
Research, develop, and test new recipes in collaboration with owners
Perform quality tests using pH meters, DO meters, and other tools
Harvest and cultivate yeast as needed
Keep detailed notes and logs
Write SOPs as needed
Provide training for brewery staff as needed
Clean and sanitize tanks and brewery equipment according to SOPs
Packaging of beer in cans and kegs according to SOPs
Following safety protocols at all times
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age
2 to 3 Years Commercial Brewing experience on a 5BBL system or bigger
Must be committed to expanding knowledge of brewing and learning about trends in the industry
Must be able to work within a team and to reach the company’s goals
Flexibility in schedule to work days, nights, and weekends as needed
Must be process-oriented and have strong attention to detail
Must be able to lift 55lbs
Must be able to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and stand for long periods
Must be able to work in wet, cold, hot, and noisy conditions
The Ideal Brewer:
Will be proficient in brewing a variety of styles of beer including pilsners, saisons, stouts, sours, and hazy IPAs
Will have experience with barrel aging beer
Will be passionate about brewing the best beer possible, and take pride in his/her work
