Our brewery is named after the 'fog belt' which stretches from central California to the Oregon border. Every beer is named after a famous redwood.
We are hiring a Beer Ambassador with a passion for craft beer to lead our wholesale sales expansion in our local area and beyond. This is an important position at Fogbelt, which provides the right individual an opportunity to continue to build a successful sales operation and grow with our expanding company. The sales position works as the face of the brand and focuses on great sales relationships from the first interaction to delivery of the product. This position is full-time sales. We have a good distribution network in place and are looking for someone who will take it to the next level!
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the beverage industry. Preference will be given to those with specific craft beer experience focused on sales, marketing and distribution. Experience in Sonoma County and the greater bay area is a plus. Cicerone certification or equivalent beer knowledge is a must.

Duties:
Brand Management
Work with Head Brewer and General Manager to oversee beer portfolio including beer calendar and launch of new seasonal and year-round beers
Develop annual marketing plan and execute marketing strategies throughout the year including promotions, events & festivals
Accurate, timely delivery of product and maintaining freshness
Evaluating, creating and building a relationship with a future distributor
High "Digital IQ" - familiarity with digital marketing, mobile, social media and web, and the role they play in the sales process
Sales Management
Build long-term relationships with on- and off-premise retail accounts to increase sales from craft beer bars, neighborhood restaurants, Mom & Pop liquor stores and large chains like Oliver's & BevMo
A "Marathon Mindset" - meticulous planner, tenacious and determined
Serve as point of contact for potential new accounts and all sales-related inquiries about Fogbelt Brewing Co.
Develop and distribute point-of-sale materials to accounts to increase our visibility
Improving conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers and achieving quality placements
Effective time management, ability to multitask, prioritize and plan different responsibilities and initiatives
Delivery
Has reliable transportation, valid driver's license and safe driving record
Able to lift 50 pounds
Time management skills in developing most efficient delivery routes
Reporting
Handle managing invoicing, accounts receivable, collections and recording keg shell inventory and communicating efficiently with bookkeeper
Manage and coordinate keg and bottle inventories
Make regular sales reports to General Manager & Owners highlighting trends, key accounts and areas for improvement
Forecast future sales growth as part of budgeting and expansion
Maintain invoice log, account balances and collect payments
Events
Manage major events and festivals including staffing and keg allocation
Create a stronger and more effective event presence for Fogbelt
Ensure events are well-organized, enjoyable, safe and in-line with Fogbelt's goals and expectations
Must be able to work flexible hours/days, including some nights & weekends
*Compensation is base pay plus commission.
