We are looking for a production brewer to join our brewing team! This position will include all aspects of the brewing process from keg cleaning to wort production.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Wort Production – Follow recipes to produce consistent wort
* Assist with recipe development – Give useful feedback on beer and develop seasonal recipes
* Brewhouse CIP
* Maintain Yeast
* Harvest & Pitch yeast
* CIP/Sanitize Tanks
* Transfer Beer
* Carbonate/Check carb levels
* Dry Hop Fermenters
* Represent the brewery at various events
* Clean taps
* Brewery maintenance
* General Brewery upkeep
* Clean & Fill Kegs
* Assemble Distributor Orders
* Work on bottling & canning line
Ability to provide constructive input on recipe development
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be able to work unsupervised, be able to lift 55 lb grain sacks to shoulder height repeatedly, have high quality standards, and strict attention to detail. Strong knowledge of the brewing process is a must, brewing degree/certificate or degree in related science is strongly preferred. Ideal candidate will have experience in a professional brewery.
Ex Novo is nearly 5 years old and supports several distribution markets and a busy taproom. More growth on the horizon! We're currently produce close to 4,000 bbl. annually and this is a small team working in close proximity, so candidates need to have a positive attitude, and be easy going with a good sense of humor.
