LDB Beverage, a growing beverage packaging company located in the Columbia River Gorge, in Stevenson Washington, is looking for a few great people to take ownership of its packaging equipment. Specifically, we are looking for individuals to manage our canning and bottling equipment. Come join us and make a career of it.
Qualified candidates will have experience in fluid understanding/management, filling machine theory, pasteurization theory and practice, as well as a background in SQF / HACCP food production environments. They will have the ability to diagnose challenges to these systems and offer solutions for their remedy. They will digest the operational manuals for the equipment and develop positive relationships with support staff from the equipment manufacturers. They will be personally vested in the peak condition and performance of the equipment. We are taking possession of two brand new canning lines from CODI within the next week and will place in service prior to April 1st, 2019 which newly hired personnel would have a hand in.
This is not an entry level position, but rather a key role within the organization, requiring at least several years of experience operating beverage equipment.
Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:
-Effectively/efficiently operate bottling and canning line equipment
-Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as necessary
-Responsible for quality and spec checks throughout each run
-Great problem solver and attention to detail
-Maintain a clean and orderly environment
-Excellent math skills
-Must work well with staff/managers from all departments.
-Ability to lift/move up to 135 lbs. on be on your feet for prolonged periods
-Must be self-motivated.
-Dependable and accountable, specifically following instructions, taking responsibility and completing tasks.
In addition to the hourly wage, a bonus structure based upon equipment performance will be put in place. We also offer a suite of benefits including health care, vacation and employee product allowances.
