The Role
The Bronx Brewery is seeking a Packaging Operator. The primary area of responsibility for this role will be in packaging but it will also require extensive knowledge of operational processes company-wide. Strong attention to detail is a must. The Packaging Operator will report to the Lead Brewer.
Specific job duties include:
● Packaging:
o Executing daily packaging duties including operation of canning line under SOP/QA guidelines, operation of kegging line under SOP/QA guidelines, troubleshooting, checking carbonation levels, inventory maintenance, and equipment maintenance
o Implement seamless packaging shift transitions and cold room/warehouse organization with Packaging, Logistics and Cellar Operator
o Maintain clean and organized workspace
o Keep an organized inventory of packaging materials and supplies
o Keep detailed records of packaged and kegged goods for reporting
o Communicate any issues that may arise to appropriate peers and/or management
● General:
○ Must be able to stand for entire shift, occasionally up to 9-10 hours
○ Constant lifting, bending, pushing, lifting, kneeling throughout shift
○ Ability to safely work in a hazardous environment with varying temperatures
○ Operation of forklift
And any other tasks or duties not explicitly mentioned above. We are a small team and always make a point to help out across departments when necessary.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and at least 6-12 months experience in the food/beverage industry or other CPG, however, all suitable candidates will be considered. Experience in brewery packaging and logistics is a plus.
The candidate for this position will play a key role in packaging and handling of an extremely perishable product so a laser focus and passion for beer is a must.
Other qualities in an ideal candidate include:
• Excellent organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Thoroughness and ability to effectively carry out work
• General computer and software fluency
• Proficient problem solver
• Eye for safety
The successful candidates must also have a desire to work for a small brewery, and all the good, bad, and crazy adventures that come along with working at a new, fast-paced, rapidly growing business.
