    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Mass. Bay Brewing Company’s (MBBC) Arctic Summer Marketing Assistant will focus on building brand excitement for Arctic Summer via events, social media, and other marketing platforms. The Arctic Summer Marketing Assistant will be expected to work independently with supervision and direction from the VP of Business Development, and use all available tools to promote the Arctic Summer brand on social media and represent MBBC positively. Additionally, the Arctic Summer Marketing Assistant will use various presentation/graphics tools to support production of sales materials for wholesalers and customers. This individual should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and be able to effectively communicate across all required media, within work teams, and with customers.


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    -Increasing brand awareness/excitement and quickly driving trial of Arctic Summer
    -Representing Arctic Summer at key event sponsorships
    -Brand activation at New England beaches, bars, events, etc.
    -Digital Marketing Community Manager – Responding to all email and social media questions; interacting with fans on social media
    -Organizing product samples to local on and off-premise accounts
    -Collaborating with Arctic Summer team to maintain/develop brand presence and content on social media platforms for @drinkarcticsummer
    ~Brainstorming
    ~Calendar management of content
    ~Posting
    ~Content creation
    -Assisting in updating content for Arctic Summer website as needed
    ~Communicating with customers via emails sent through website
    ~Creating website content for new products, blogs, events, and other areas as needed
    -Submitting content for MBBC newsletters and announcements
    -Keeping Arctic Summer events up to date on internal and external calendars
    -Working with both the Arctic Summer and MBBC Sales teams in creating presentations and materials for current/future brand projects
    -Completing other tasks as assigned related to digital and print marketing


    REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    -Experience in the beer, wine & spirits industry
    -Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in communications and sales a plus
    -Prior experience in a marketing or graphics role a plus
    -Proficiency with personal computers / laptops and associated programs (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite)
    -Knowledge of and experience with VIP a plus
    -Valid and clean driver's license
    -Knowledge of the craft beer and/or hard seltzer community; knowledge of company, state, federal regulations and franchise laws, U.S. beer business and its practices as needed
    -Strong oral communication skills: ability to talk to others to convey information effectively; strong written communication skills
    -Understanding the retail and on-premise buyer mindset; experience buying or bartending a huge plus
    -Excellent time management skills; ability to be proactive and take initiative while demonstrating an ability to work independently without direct supervision
    -Excellent organizational and coordinating skills; ability to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
    -Social perceptiveness - being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do
    -Decision making skills - collecting, assessing, and interpreting relevant information and making sound judgement
    -Flexibility; ability and willingness to navigate and adapt to a changing plan
    -Always being able to present yourself professionally as you will be seen as a representative of the company
