    POSITION OVERVIEW

    As Mass. Bay Brewing Company’s (MBBC) Arctic Summer Brand Representative, your main objective is to support the Northeast market and be an ambassador for the Arctic Summer brand. Primary responsibilities include working closely with MBBC Brewery Representatives and distributors and educating them on selling the Arctic Summer brand. In addition, you will collaborate with the Arctic Summer Marketing Specialist to plan and execute promotional events within your territory. Above all, your objective is to get consumers, retailers, and distributors excited about Arctic Summer!


    CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for someone whose experience includes working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment. The candidate must have strong organizational as well as people skills. The candidate should also possess a positive attitude, enthusiasm, passion for customer satisfaction, and a commitment to excellence.


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Oversight of the Northeast market
    • Working with MBBC Sales team and local distributors to educate, motivate, and excite them about Arctic Summer
    • Working with MBBC Sales team and VP of Business Development to establish annual goals within each market; tracking and evaluating success on monthly basis
    • Assisting MBBC Sales team in working with top Arctic Summer accounts in each market
    • Assisting National Accounts team in executing effective meetings with key chain buyers
    • Spending 20% of time organizing and planning, with 80% of time working with Sales team, distributors, and retailers
    • Executing memorable distributor kick-off meetings at all key distributors
    • Working with MBBC team to monitor orders and inventory and communicate any issues to relevant stakeholders
    • Collaborating with Arctic Summer Marketing Assistant to develop new and exciting ideas for POS & Premiums
    • Working with VP of Business Development to determine annual Arctic Summer sales goals by territory and for MBBC
    • Assisting in identifying new market expansion opportunities; working with MBBC team to ensure new markets have all necessary resources


    REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
    • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in marketing, sales, and management a plus
    • 2+ years of experience in the beer, wine, and spirits industry or 3+ years of outer market sales experience
    • VIP experience a plus
    • Proficiency with personal computers / laptops and associated programs (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite)
    • Valid and clean driver's license
    • Knowledge of the craft beer and/or hard seltzer community; knowledge of company, state, federal regulations and franchise laws, U.S. beer business and its practices as needed
    • Strong oral communication skills: ability to talk to others to convey information effectively; strong written communication skills
    • Understanding the retail and on-premise buyer mindset; experience buying or bartending a huge plus
    • Excellent time management skills; ability to be proactive and take initiative while demonstrating an ability to work independently without direct supervision
    • Excellent organizational and coordinating skills; ability to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
    • Social perceptiveness - being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do
    • Decision making skills - collecting, assessing, and interpreting relevant information and making sound judgement
    • Flexibility; ability and willingness to navigate and adapt to a changing plan
    • Always being able to present yourself professionally as you will be seen as a representative of the company


    WORKING ENVIRONMENT
    • Variable hours that include night and weekend work
    • Travel to the breweries, vendors, and related organizations
    • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing 65 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion
    • Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment
    • Working indoors and outdoors all year long
