  • Brewmaster needed at SOMA Kombucha, "Best Kombucha" - Best of Portland Oregon 2018

Company: SOMA Kombucha is a St Johns, Portland, Oregon-based manufacturer of certified organic kombucha, jun, and other healthy probiotic and CBD products. It was born when Founder and CEO Jean-Pierre Parent began bringing his home-brew kombucha to enjoy after yoga classes to help bring people together and create a stronger community of health conscious people.

Voted "Best Kombucha" in the Best of Portland 2018 reader survey (the first year of the category), SOMA provides the market's healthiest kombucha, jun, CBD wellness waters, and other health-related products to natural and convention grocers, markets, yoga and wellness centers from Seattle to San Diego. We have a rabid fan base all over the world and have trouble keeping up with demand with our wholesale and retail operations - we also ship kegs across the country and operate 3 taprooms (2 more in process), and are gearing up to crush farmers markets this summer. We've recently built and moved into a new 8000sf facility that's certified organic and a wonderful working environment.

For this position, we are looking for an entrepreneurial partner to learn how we do things, then take ownership and continually look for opportunities to improve process and product. SOMA is a very autonomous culture that supports enthusiasm, drive, creativity, and competence. While very hands-on currently, this job can easily evolve into a production manager or operations manager position.
