Assistant Brewer
A growing Nova Scotian craft brewery is searching for an Assistant Brewer. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about beer, that has previous brewing experience, and that is looking for a career in the craft beer industry. Your experience could be at a major commercial brewery, or a 1HL garage system. We want someone who wants to learn and doesn’t mind hard work. This person will have the opportunity to train under an award winning brewer at an award winning brewery.
As the Assistant brewer, you will be expected to:
• Under the guidance of the Brew Master produce high quality work as required by the production calendar;
• Import data to the brewery software platform and reconcile raw materials and inventory;
• Clean and conduct first line service on brewing equipment, as well as other brewing support equipment (milling equipment and associated spaces, keg machine and keg cleaning etc);
The new Assistant Brewer should have 3 years prior brewing experience, and ideally formal training through a recognized brewing institution. This person must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Most important of all, they must be a positive and supportive team player. The craft brewing industry is not for the faint of heart! But it is very rewarding.
