Hiring a Cellar/Packaging/Assistant Brewer for SoMe Brewing Company AND our new sister York Beach Beer Company in York, Maine.
Positiion: Cellar/Packaging Person
Experience: Preference given to candidates who have 2+ years working in a brewery, running a canning line, and with prior brewing knowledge.
Candidate would preferably have cellar and packaging experience and aspirations to move up on the brew deck and eventually be brewing at BOTH our locations.
Candidates should be:
Able to work on their feet for a whole shift
Able to lift 55 lb bags of grain
Capable of following verbal and written SOPs
Able to move full kegs safely with a hand truck
Able to move heavy pallets with a pallet jack
Familiar with working around forklifts (fork driving experience not required)
Comfortable working in an unairconditioned brewery
Able to work safely with strong chemicals
Familiar with sanitization practices
Capable of strict attention to detail
Very knowledgable of the brewing process, as well as good mechanical/electrical aptitude.
Able to work with high quality standards with or without direct supervision.
Able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
Available to work some early mornings, swing shifts, and weekends
Able to safely operate a motor vehicle
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Filling kegs, cleaning/sanitizing tanks, organizing and cleaning the brewery, yeast harvesting, prepping for brew-days, working on the canning line, assisting other team members with day to day tasks, local deliveries, and other tasks as assigned.
Pay: DOE
Hours: Full Time, Weekdays/Possible weekends.
