  • CO2 push vs Tickling

Is there a fundamental difference between the CO2 push that's done to fermenters and tickling a brite tank?

    Tickling

I prefer to “wet Willy” the brite tanks myself.

    Cheers!

I’ve tickled a brite tank once, it just stood there and did nothing. They must not be ticklish.

Maybe a good knock knock joke might work better?

Yeah, I’m really not sure what “tickling” means in this context [emoji1787]

I guess that may be a phrase unique to my brewery. Tickling a brite tank is when the tank is over carbed, so you hit the beer with a few second bursts of CO2 to lower the carb level.

I’m not sure what you mean by “CO2 push in fermenter” either[emoji51] - trying to mix dry hops / fruit up into the beer by a few blasts of CO2 through the bottom?
