Title: Production Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly (non-exempt)
Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Pay Range: $15-$18, COE

Upstart is presently selling throughout the region in grocery store chains and independent brick and mortars, alike.

Responsibilities:
Support Upstart Kombucha’s vision, mission, and values
Maintain organization and cleanliness within all areas of the warehouse and cold storage
Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and company
Supports with brewing and fermenting practices
Assists in both the setup and breakdown of production equipment
Monitor machine process
Assists in all packaging efforts, including but not limited to labeling, filling, capping, batch numbering, and storing various pack sizes of product
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning duties to ensure top notch facility condition
Follows closely to all quality assurance measures, including but not limited to ensuring proper fill levels, adequate carbonation, correct batch numbering/dating, proper torquing of caps, and examining bottles and other packaging to ensure good quality product is delivered to our customers
Assists in record keeping and documentation pertinent to and in accordance with SOPs
Supports in shipping, receiving, and loading/off-loading duties
Light troubleshooting of equipment, as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, Bachelors preferred
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
Certified in forklift operation a plus
Previous production experience (2+ years)
Ability to maintain equipment through basic mechanical knowledge
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift 60# bags and up to 75# using traditional methods
Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat
Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
Ability to work in a moderate noise level
