Octopi Brewing is looking for a Controller. Located in Waunakee, WI outside of Madison, WI.

Oversee General Accounting Functions

• Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and techniques
• Conduct internal audits to assess financial status
• Accounts Receivable and Account Payable
• Account reconciliation (Bank / General Ledger / Credit cards)
• Bank Deposits
• General ledger entries and analysis
• Create trial balance and financial statements
• File and monitor tax reporting
• Establish budgets as needed
• Manage Cash Flow

Monitor payments to vendors

• Manage line of credit and bank loans
• Create weekly cash flow report
• Develop cash management improvements

Financial Management

• Create and analyze financial statements.
• Oversee insurance issues as needed
• Interface with CPA.
• Entering of purchase orders, change orders into accounting software
• Issuance, monitoring and reconciliation of company credit card accounts
• Review financial statements for accuracy and clarity
• Analyze & interpret financial and operational performance

HR

• Payroll
• Paperwork for new hires

Professional Skills:

• Work closely with Octopi Brewing and Untitled Art CFO
• Perform other duties as assigned. You will be responsible for coming to work on time and helping the administrative team in multiple aspect of the administration
• You will coordinate your day to day work with the CFO and owner
• You will be accountable for your work and must follow all guidelines to ensure we are in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
