Parkway Brewing Company is looking for our next Tap Room Manager! We are a solid fast growing brewery with a vibrant lifestyle and scene. Established in 2012 with a full new taproom buildout and expansion in 2015, Parkway is not only available on site but is distributed in 2 states with 2 more coming on line.
Job description as follows:
Summary/Objective
The main duty of the Retail/Taproom manager is to oversee day-to-day Tap Room operations and to facilitate its success while also working with packaging, brewing and marketing departments in order to track and sell beer in-house. Reports to the General Manager
Essential Functions
• Scheduling of employees, Food Trucks, and working with GM, National Accounts Manager, owners, and others to schedule events.
• Planning and executing events by working with vendors, employees, marketing team, and others.
• Overseeing day-to-day sales and making projections based on sales numbers.
• Tracking and inventorying beer coming to and going from the brewery.
• Coordinating with businesses and customers on different events, fundraisers, beer sales, etc.
• Coming up with and ordering merchandise to be made available for sale in the Tap Room.
• Training new employees and making sure that existing employees are held to high standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of draft systems.
• Working with Packaging and Brewing to stock beer for Tap Room use.
• Ordering and purchasing items that are necessary for Tap Room operations.
• Some social media advertising.
• Assisting Tap Room employees where necessary.
• Any additional duties as required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between 9-7. Nights and weekends are also commonly worked. Additional hours as required.
Travel
Travel is not normally required in this position.
Would prefer:
Hospitality management a plus
Prior tap room mangement a bigger plus.
Some level of Cicerone certification and an inherent love for beers of all types.
This is a salaried position and salary will depend on experience.
