    Job Description:
    We are currently for searching for 2-3 Full-Time Packaging Technicians to join our growing team. Sleeping Giant Brewing Company has enjoyed tremendous growth as the first dedicated contract brewery in the Western United States and is now the largest brewery in Denver. This is an opportunity to get in at a rapidly growing brewery with significant opportunities for future advancement.

    Sleeping Giant Brewing is a unique place to work for many reasons, including our place in the craft beer industry. Known internationally as a top contract brewery for craft beer, we packaged over 65 different beers in 2018, won multiple World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival medals, shipped beer to over 30 states, and worked with partner breweries across the globe.

    The Ideal Candidate will possess:

    • The age of 21 years or older
    • 1+ year of experience in a production brewery/beverage plant and/or in a high-speed machine operation
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to perform the physical demands of the position
    • A passion for cleaning, organizing, cleaning and cleaning!
    • Lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly (16 oz cases)
    • Maneuvering up to 165 lbs (full ½ bbl kegs)
    • Working on feet for up to 10 hours (with breaks of course)
    • Occasionally needing to bend, kneel and crouch
    • Ability to work in seasonally hot and cold conditions
    • The availability to work a flexible schedule as needed. This position is primarily Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or 3:30 pm - Midnight, with rotating shifts, occasional weekends, and overtime may be required on an infrequent basis.
    • A willingness to work in a flow-to-work team environment with positions ranging from running high-speed equipment to manually stacking finished-good pallets.
    • The ability to work with a constant focus on safety while adhering to SGBC’s policies and goals
      Preferred Skills and Experience:
      • High-speed Canning, Bottling or Kegging experience
      • Fork truck operation (Electric) and Warehouse experience.
      • Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools
      • High attention to detail in operations and documentation
      • Writing, revising, and following SOPs or Work Instructions
      • Performing CIPs on equipment and safely handling the required cleaning chemicals
      • Use of brewing analytical equipment – Anton-Paar, Zahm, pH meter, scales, etc.
      • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or certification by IBD, Siebel, UC-Davis, Metro State, etc. is desirable but not required.

      Compensation for this position is commensurate with relevant experience and within the local craft industry labor market. We view packaging positions as equally important to brewing and compensate accordingly for experienced candidates who are passionate about packaging high quality beer.
