Epic Brewing Company is seeking hard working, quality minded individuals, to fill full time positions on our packaging team.
Packaging Technician Job Summary:
Reporting to the Packaging Lead, the Packaging Technician is responsible for the daily fulfillment of packaging orders. This includes operation and maintenance of all packaging lines and supporting equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
• Assist Packaging Lead and operators in safe and efficient operation of filling, labeling, and kegging equipment
• Use troubleshooting and mechanical capabilities to dial in, maintain, and clean equipment for efficient packaging line operations
• Maintain packaging hall and storage areas in a clean and organized manner
• Quality inspection of all packaged products
• General maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment
• Cleaning of kegs and preparation for filling
• Handling chemicals required for cleaning and sanitization
• Identify problems and notify management
• Other duties as assigned throughout the brewery
Skills and Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and keep a positive attitude
• Prior experience in a production environment a plus
• Packaging and/or bottling line experience preferred
• Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be willing to work in wet and/or cold conditions
• Available to work long and/or flexible hours and on weekends
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
• Appreciation for craft beer
