Lamplighter Brewing Co. in Cambridge, MA is searching for someone to join our team in cellar operations in mid-June.
This full-time job covers a wide range of roles, and we are looking for someone who is willing to adapt to multiple positions and work with multiple team members. The ideal candidate is hard-working, motivated to learn, passionate about beer and the brewing industry, and a team player. The position is Monday through Friday with one weekend day per month.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
• Yeast propagation, tracking, and management
• Sensory analysis of all products
• Barrel management (cleaning / filling / tasting / emptying / blending)
• Batch tracking and inventory management
• Raw materials tracking and inventory management
• Facility maintenance and cleaning
• Equipment preventative maintenance
• Cellar management (CIP / dry-hopping / transfers / gravities)
• Packaging (bottles / kegs / cans)
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements;
• Lift 60 + lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in hot / cold / wet environments that requiring kneeling, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, and lifting.
• Stand for the duration of an 8+ hour shift
• Use of a ladder
General Requirements;
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Critical thinker with unwavering attention to details
• Exceptional sensory analysis skills
• Collaborative team player
• Experience in cellar position
• Experience working with barrel-aged beers
• Formal brewing education or college-level equivalent
Compensation is based on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and lots of beer.
