Flagship Brewing Company in Staten Island, NYC is hiring. We hope to find someone with brewing experience in a commercial craft brewery to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation of a 15 bbl brew system with 30 bbl fermentation tanks,
- Wort production
- Fermentation monitoring
- Yeast management
- Standard operating procedures, record keeping.
- CIP and plant/equipment cleanliness
- Cellar and packaging operations when necessary
- Quality control and assurance
- Safety and health compliance
- Training of new staff when required
- Representation of brand at festivals and events both on and off site
Qualifications
- Passion for craft beer and brewing
- 2+ years experience in a production brewery 3000+ bbls per year
- Recipe development experience. Pilot batching
- Practical brewing knowledge
- Ability to manage all aspects a brewhouse
- Bottling or canning line experience (a plus)
- Forklift experience (a plus)
- Able to work a flexible schedule when necessary
- Familiarity with google drive and calendar
- Strong organizational skills and cleanliness
- Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Understanding of health and safety compliance
- Physical ability to be on feet for long periods of time and lift at least 55lbs
