    Description and Responsibilities

Midwest Coast Brewing Company needs a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to lead our outside sales and distribution efforts. As a self-distributing start-up brewery, Midwest Coast Brewing Company can sell directly to bars and restaurants. The Sales Manager needs to be a brand ambassador for the brewery, responsible for creating a sales strategy, acquiring and maintaining keg accounts at bars and restaurants, ensuring invoices to accounts are delivered and paid, and will initially handle the deliveries of full kegs to customers and return of empties to the brewery. As the company grows, the Sales Manager will be responsible for hiring a team of sales reps and delivery drivers and developing/executing a growth strategy while maintaining great relations with existing customers.

Significant successful sales experience in the food and beverage industry, ideally in the craft beer industry
Ability to develop sales strategies and reports
Confidence in leadership and managing people
High level written and communication skills
Very personable and strong public speaking skills
    Innovation and creativity under pressure
Desire to help us grow our brand!

    Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and be able to move full kegs which weigh close to 165 pounds.

    Midwest Coast Values
    It’s never “not my job”
    - This is a small company. In a way, everything is everyone’s job. If you are in a position to help, then do so. Even if you don’t know exactly how to do something, but have the capacity to help, simply asking someone “what can I do?” goes a long way. Be a contributor.

Communicate - Communicate with coworkers and with customers. Nobody likes being left in the dark. If you don’t know the answer, that’s fine, but let people know that you’re working to find it. If you can’t help a customer right away, let them know. “Hey I’ll be with you guys in just a second” goes a long way rather than leaving them wondering if you know they’re even there.

Integrity in mistakes - Screw up. Own up. Everyone is going to make mistakes of all sizes. While they should try to be avoided, these missteps should be viewed as opportunities to grow. Mistakes only become “failures” when they aren’t owned up to, and when they aren’t learned from. Make a mess, clean it up, learn how to make less of a mess next time.

Be a team player - Put the success of the team ahead of individual desires. If you have an opinion, voice it. Be respectful. Be strong. Be convincing. Be assertive. DON’T be overbearing. DON’T be rude. DON’T take yourself too seriously. DON’T be soft.

Everybody calm down - There are times when panic is the appropriate response. This probably isn’t one of those times. Relax. Find the answer. Implement it.

Finish - If you set out to do something, finish it. Don’t leave loose ends. If it turns out to be a bad idea, finish it with the least amount of damage possible.
