Director of Brewery Operations is responsible for the management and development of all beer & cider production at 33 Acres Brewing Company & 33 Brewing Experiment.
The right candidate is upbeat, ready to take on a challenge, proactive and most importantly someone who can create tools, lead and delegate. They will work on the efficiencies of our day to day operations, and do their best to promote a productive work environment while having the interests of 33 Acres Brewing Company and 33 Brewing Experiment at the forefront. This is a permanent, full time position.
Role Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in the brewing industry
- 3+ years of management of a production facility
- Brewing Sciences & Engineering education
- Fluent in English language
Role Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling
- Scheduling wort production
- Allocating wort to assigned tanks
- Forecasting brew days
- Filtration scheduling
- Packaging scheduling
Recipe Development
- Refining current recipes for optimal flavour, production efficiency and to keep current to market
- Developing new recipes
Yeast Management
- Keeping yeast cultures alive
- Harvesting yeast
- Purchasing new yeast
EKOS Management
- Ensuring EKOS entry data is being entered by relevant positions correctly
- Auditing EKOS inventory data
- Auditing EKOS recipe data
Task Delegation
- Delegating non production tasks to appropriate staff members
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Keeping recipe costs feasible
- Negotiating costs with suppliers
- Analyzing & reporting labour costs
Repairs & Maintenance
- Maintaining a list of contacts, all suppliers & trades
- Keeping all equipment operational
- Delegating maintenance staff
Raw Material Sourcing/Management
- Dealing with raw material suppliers
- Raw material ordering
- Weekly/Monthly inventories
- Sourcing new raw materials
- Forecasting raw material consumption
- Setting annual contracts with suppliers
Staff
- Reviews conducted quarterly and annually (May)
- Mandatory monthly staff meetings
- Monthly staff hang-outs/team building event

- $80K ANNUAL SALARY
