Job Summary
This position is focused on filling in the gaps for both the Warehouse and Packaging Teams. It will report directly to the lead Warehouse Coordinator as well as the Packaging Manager. On a week to week basis they will spend about half of their time packaging, cleaning and relieving other Packagers for breaks while the other half will be spent warehousing, organizing and relieving the warehouse team for breaks. Initiative and reliability are key factors for this role.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Participates in safety trainings and abides by safety policies.
Properly use personal protective equipment when required– steel toed shoes, ear protection, chemical goggles/gloves, eye protection, etc.
Maximizing space in order to store product efficiently in warehouses
Construct, wrap and label pallets of product with precision
Proper use of First In First Out (FIFO) when applicable as in SOPs and rotation of product to ensure quality
Accurate completion of proper documentation concerning shipping/receiving
Maintaining supply and organization of warehouse materials using the 5S system
Ensure dry-goods warehouse and cold room are kept clean and organized
Seeks ways to improve the efficiency of warehouse processes and organization
Tracks and records inventory of finished and partial pallets from packaging runs, and performs audits as necessary
Ensures all positions on canning line have adequate and appropriate supplies (replenish box supply, replenish 12-pack box supply near gluer, etc.)
Provides stock to tap room as needed
Inspect quality of packaged product and assure it is fit for distribution - notify fill operator, packaging manager, and/or QC department about anything out of spec in the packaging process (i.e. color of cans, quality of print on boxes, dirtiness on cans, leaking seams, dented/wrinkled cans, etc.)
Use of software to clock in and out at appropriate times, check weekly schedule, and request time off.
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
Shipping & receiving of products (loading and unloading trucks)
Assist Packaging Team with any startup and shutdown procedure. Follow closing clean-up checklist and properly check out with management at end of shift
Fills in on canning line and keg filler when necessary and or time allows
Ensure canning equipment and hardware are in functioning order and notify the fill operator, packaging manager, and/or maintenance department in case of malfunctioning
Help with various other tasks/projects when required (inventory counts, deep cleaning, maintenance, pickups and deliveries, etc).
Performs routine, preventative maintenance on forklifts
Equipment Operation - Safely Operates
Forklifts, electric pallet jacks, non-electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts and any other machinery used

Qualifications
Passion for independent, quality craft beer and our industry is a must
Packaging/Brewery/Factory experience is ideal
Forklift and equipment operation experience is highly desired
Ability to work as a team and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals
Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving and math skills
Flexibility, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
