Chainline Brewing Company, located in Kirkland, WA, is looking to add a talented Brewer/Cellar Person to our production team. This is a full time, hourly position that will be responsible for all aspects of production including brewing, cellaring, and packaging.
Shift Brewer/Cellar Person Job Description:
• Operation of a four vessel, 20 BBL brew system and a two vessel, 8.5 BBL brew system
• Brewhouse support including (but not limited to) wort production, raw material gathering, CIP of vessels, and yeast pitching.
• Cellar support including (but not limited to) tank CIPs/SIPs, transfers, yeast management, lab work (cell counts, viabilities), dry hopping, carbonating, CO2 Analysis, and gravity monitoring.
• Packaging support including (but not limited to) kegging, working on mobile canning line, and stacking kegs in cold storage.
• Participation in Chainline Brewing events
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
• 1-2 years professional brewing experience
• Brewing degree/certification a plus
• Microbiology/lab experience a plus
• A keen sense of safety and cleanliness (HACCP/ Food Safety experience a plus)
• A self-driven attention to detail
• A desire to keep everything clean and organized
• Ability to keep detailed and accurate records
• Have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
• Flexibility to work different shifts; days, swings, weekdays, and weekends
• Ability to lift 60 lbs repeatedly, and 150 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in a variety of environments
• Forklift/Pallet Jack experience (training is provided)
• Ability to work in a team based environment
• Desire to continually create quality products from start to finish
