    We are a small family run restaurant/brewery located in the picturesque Adirondack Mountains on the Main St. of Lake Placid.

    Operating a 7bbl Direct fire brew house, we currently produce about 300bbl per year but have produced over 700bbl at peak capacity.

    We are looking for an innovative brewer who can bring new beers to these beautiful mountains and push production to it's limits.

    This position entails brewing our award winning recipes year round, while also having the freedom to experiment with rotating taps and one off brews. We are looking for a creative and excited brewer with the ability to formulate new and innovative recipes, manage and expand our barrel program, including clean and sour beers.


    The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Must be a clean freak, have great communication skills, be able to attend social events and festivals, and most of all, brew great beer.

    As Lake Placid has a highly seasonal economy, we expect our brewer to work full time during the busy seasons (Summer, parts of Fall, and Winter Ski-season.) and can have a more relaxed schedule during our slower times.

    Lake Placid is perfect for the brewer who enjoys all kinds of outdoor activity. We are Minutes from the Whiteface Ski Resort, the famous Adirondack High Peaks, World renowned fly fishing, hundreds of lakes, streams, rivers and mountains. We are home to all sorts of outdoor sports, including Iron Man Triathlon, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, rafting, snowmobiling, fishing etc., etc., etc.

    responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    -All material acquisition (grain, hops, chemicals, etc.)
    -Wort Production
    -fermentation and cellaring
    -Draught cleaning and maintenance
    -Brewery, tank, and equpment cleaning and sanitizing,
    -State, and Federal compliance paperwork, including brewers reports, excise tax paperwork, and label approval.
    -training staff on beer knowledge
    -keg delivery to local accounts
    -and more...
    Basically if it involves brewing beer and getting it to the tap faucet, it's your responsibility.

    Brewer Qualification
    -Must be 21 years or older
    -2 years hands on brewing experience, or equivalent education. (experience with brewery paperwork a plus)
    -formal brewing education a plus
    -great problem solving skills.

    Salary TBD based on Experience


    Current Head-Brewer is available until mid Aug to help incoming brewer transition.
