The SALES & EVENT REP will report to the DIRECTOR OF SALES & DISTRIBUTION, and be responsible for the execution of the company’s sales strategy in the Orange County and Los Angles markets. These duties includes, but are not limited to, daily communication and interaction with distribution representatives, attention to inventory levels, new product communication and education to retail partners, and attendance and interaction at promotional events and festivals. This will be a salary position with a mileage and expense reimbursement.

The role will be approximately divided up between the following areas:

50% - Prospecting of new clients. Introduction of the brand to potential retail accounts. Organized and informative tastings. Education about flavor profiles and beer descriptors.

20% - Communication with local distributor reps. Conveyance of information around new offerings. Creation of a shared vision surrounding placing the right beer in the right account.

15% - Organizational activities including maintaining up-to-date customer lists with communication preferences and availabilities, recaps and updates to management, creation of daily/weekly/monthly scheduling, and assistance with product information, profiles and staff educational strategy.

15% - Customer facing events, including brewery focused tastings at retail, neighborhood food and beer festivals, and the creation and implementation of creative, customer engaging, memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate should be able to excel in the following areas:

1 - Reaching out to potential new customers to establish an open line of communication
2 - Working with local distribution reps to effectively communicate priorities
3 - Efficiency with time management surrounding commitments and deadlines across a vast territory
4 - Well-versed in organizing contact lists, familiar with workplace apps (Slack), and proficient in Word & Excel.
5 - Ability to create engaging, memorable events for customer to take part in

This role will not conform to normal business hours and will require a flexible schedule to meet with retail partners at times that are convenient to them and events that are scheduled occasionally in the evenings or weekends. The applicant must reside in Orange County or Los Angeles, with the center of the market generally considered to lie between Long Beach, Anaheim & Irvine.



Established in 2013, Artifex Brewing Company crafts in-demand, hop-forward, balanced IPAs, alongside an assortment of complimentarily styles, ranging from award winning Imperial Stouts and Mexican Lagers, to rotating fruited sour ales. The production team operates a 15 bbl brewhouse with 285 bbls of fermentation capacity, plus and additional 3 brite tanks for conditioning and finishing beer.
