  • Leaking element housing

Hey all! Our HLT seems to be leaking from the housing of the element. The element isn't burnt nor is it loose. I checked the inside of the housing and the wiring is still intact. Anyone have any idea what can be causing this? Any advice will help. Thank you!

Did you contacted your equipment manufacturer?

You are either dealing with a flange or a threaded member. Just because things seem tight does not mean you don't have issues there.
Take it apart, clean everything up and put it back together, with new gaskets or compound as indicated. Whenever you are dealing with metals and heating cooling cycles you will get into this kind of thing. Better have the exact spare parts you need on hand before breaking into it, or otherwise let a sleeping dog lie.

Got it taken of! It was a crack in the actual element and just got it replaced and stopped the leak.
