    Position Title: Cellarman
    Supervisor: Lead Cellarman
    Type of Position: Full-time

    Position Purpose: This position is an intermediate-level opportunity for someone with energy, drive, and passion for beer. The Cellarman will contribute to normal daily tasks, such as cleaning kegs, packaging in kegs, and furthering product in the cellar. He/she should expect to work 40 hours per week. The position could demand up to 12 hours a day, in accordance with the production schedule.

    Essential Duties:
    • Cleaning kegs
    • Filling kegs
    • Following all production SOPs
    • Move kegs from cellar to cold room
    • CIP tanks
    • Assist in/lead miscellaneous cellar activities (dry hop, harvest yeast, trub dump)
    • Properly track data on beer
    • Test gravities
    • Carbonate beer
    • Coordinate with other departments and help when needed
    • Maintain a clean, safe environment
    • Handling of concentrated chemicals in accordance with SOPs


    Minimum Requirements:
    • A strong work-ethic and commitment to quality
    • Efficient work habits
    • Brewery education or experience (2+ years) is required
    • Knowledge of the brewing process is required
    • Forklift certification or experience is preferred
    • Must be 21+ (for sampling of alcoholic product)



    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to stand for entire shift
    • Must be able to work in hot and cold environment
    • Must be able to work in wet environment
    • Must be able to consistently lift and carry 20 lbs
    • Must be able to lift and carry 45 lbs
    • Must be able to consistently crouch, kneel, and bend
    • Must be able to consistently use hands and wrists
