Sonder Brewing is hiring an experienced, and well-seasoned brewer. This position will be an
integral part in our companies overall growth. This position will report directly to the Head
Brewer.
Job Requirements:
-Must have minimum two years brewing experience.
-Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting.
Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
-Execute daily CIPs, wort, production, raw material handling, yeast propagation, fermentation
management, filtration and finishing, brite beer handling and packaging
-Clean all equipment and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality
-Continually clean and maintain all brewery/production areas including mill room, brewhouse,
cellar, keg line, can line area, production cooler and super sac station.
-Strict adherence to all SOP’s in all aspects of the brewhouse, cellar, and can line
-Maintain and coordinate healthy communication with other departments (Marketing, Packaging, Cellar, Sales
and FOH GM)
-Possess a well-rounded knowledge of brewing and beer styles
-Perform all job functions within the structure described in the Employee handbook of
policies and procedures at Sonder Brewing
-Attend brewery staff meetings as required.
-Ability to assist in any brewery department as required.
-Basic QA tests (Gravity checks, cell counts, pH test)
Physical Requirements --
-Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high.
-Lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs. along the floor. -
-Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders.
-Work in small and confined spaces.
-Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations.
-Work in loud environment with basic safety accommodations.
-Read, write and calculate basic algebra. Understanding of Metric system preferred but not
required
-Mechanical aptitude is a huge bonus
-Forklift experience is a plus
Sonder Brewing is located in Mason, Ohio, and is situated on 6.5 acres of land. We operate on a
state of the art, custom designed, fully automated 30bbl QTS brewhouse, a brand new 6-head
CODI canning line, and Lambrechts kegline. We plan on brewing over 2500bbls for 2019, and
double to triple production by year two of operation.
This will be an exempt salaried position offering competitive wages based on experience.
Benefits include PTO, Holiday pay, 401k with match, healthcare including
medical/dental/vision.
