The Packaging Operator will be responsible for daily operation, cleaning and sanitizing of packaging equipment including a CFT Microbrew 10/2 and IDD Squire Plus 2. Packaging operators are responsible for packaging all products in a safe and high quality manner as directed by the Packaging Manager and the Director of Brewing Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Package Zero Gravity beer in accordance to all safety and quality standards
Work closely with and report directly to the Packaging Manager
Maintain consistency and quality of packaged beer.
Maintain working knowledge of packaging techniques and procedures with process improvement in mind.
Responsible for ensuring daily packaging schedule is completed consistently, on time, to correct volumes with a quality mindset
Maintain accurate and up to date record keeping and documentation of all production operations
Monitor equipment to ensure it is well maintained to operate safely & efficiently. Report problems to Packaging Manager or Director of Operations
Participate in company meetings
Operation of CFT Microbrew 10/2 can filler/seamer
Operation of IDD Squire Plus 2 keg washer/filler
Strong mechanical ability with problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Ability to multi-task and follow standard operating procedures
Work independently as well as a team player
Performs other tasks and assignments as instructed by the Packaging Manager
Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary
Work with chemicals of varying composition
You must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly and maneuver 175 lbs. kegs as needed
Must be able to twist/turn, reach over shoulders and stand/walk on a continual basis
Work in loud production environments
Work in damp/wet areas
Position Requirements:
High school diploma
Manufacturing experience preferred
Forklift certification
Skilled in Excel, Word and other software programs
Ability to work varied shifts
Be able to repeatedly lift 55 lbs. and walk up and down stairs
You must thrive working independently and have a positive personality
